~ Help Me Help PAWS Chicago ~

My brother and his wife are participating in the Ninth Annual Run for Their Lives 8K Run/ 4K Walk this year. This event is held by PAWS Chicago. Here's the email they sent me about the event:

I invite you to support this event by joining in my belief that no dog or cat should be destroyed just because he or she is homeless. All runners and walkers will work to raise money to support PAWS Chicago’s targeted spay/neuter, innovative adoption and community outreach programs.
For years, pet overpopulation has been managed by the killing of homeless pets. There is a better way!

Founded in 1997, PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) Chicago is the city's largest non-profit, no-kill humane organization. PAWS Chicago envisions a no-kill Chicago--a city in which no pets are destroyed just because they are homeless. In 1997 more than 800 homeless cats and dogs were being killed in Chicago every week, totaling a staggering 42,561 deaths that year alone. Through high-profile events and public awareness campaigns, PAWS Chicago put a face on this once hidden problem, and results were immediately visible. Since the founding of PAWS Chicago the killing rate of homeless animals in Chicago has been reduced by half.

Please help give Chicago’s homeless pets the lives they deserve. Please help support my efforts to raise money for PAWS Chicago. Together, we can build a no-kill Chicago!

So, to show my support, I am donating 20% of all sales throughout August to this great cause, no upper limit. Please help by either donating to them directly or purchasing from my shop! I will be adding pet related items later on so look out for those!

How can you say no to these puppy eyes?!?!?
