I am all about reuse and upcycle. I thought I was cool for reusing baby food containers as bead storage. Then, I came home one day and saw this:
Hmm... what is it?? Well, my dad's fishies had babies. He can't just leave them in the tank though. It's hard to feed them in such a big area and the big fishes will eat them and it's just hard to see how they are doing. So, he took a cranberry juice bottle, cleaned it, drilled holes in it and hung in in the fish tank. Now, the little fishies are safe and comfy!
Here it is outside of the tank. This one is a little bit different. It has a compartment on top and the bottom can be opened. I forgot what the compartment is for though.
Here's a close up. It's hard to take pictures of little fishies! I actually went to a session about fish photography, but it's just easier said than done.
Cool right? My dad has a lot more reuse/upcycle ideas. Stay tuned for more!

WoW! Great idea! It is tought keeping the babies safe from the rest of the fish. and growing them to adulthood is even more of a challenge. I alwasy had to buy those little net pens that never seemed to be right for the batch. Well done!
That is so cool, a great way to recycle and save the baby fish!

That is a great idea. It'll be fun to watch the babies grow up.
That is a totally cool reuse idea! I have not had a fish tank in some years but I do remember how hard it was to keep them all separated.
That is a great idea. Nice photo of the tiny fish. I can't wait to see what other ideas you have!
That's a great idea... I'll keep it in mind if I ever get more pregnant guppies from the pet store...

This is a fantastic idea though!!
Your dad has mad skillz.
he has very neat and steady hands!!!
What a cool idea and lucky fishies! :)
When our dad cooks the fishies, they have a small hint of cranberry. It's really awesome! Try this with lemonades, orange juice, sunny Ds, etc.
