~ More Swarovski Navette Pendants~

Yay! I got more Navette Pendants. There are 4 new colors and I am slowly adding them to my shop. Now there are 8 colors available. In this picture, starting with the red one, the colors are red magma, crystal copper, golden shadow, light amethyst, amethyst, silver shade, clear, and jet.

Now, let's look at the new colors. This is golden shadow. It is a light champagne color with a lot of mirror-like reflections.

Silver shade is a soft gray color. It's like the clear one, with a touch of gray. It also has a lot of mirror-like reflections.

Light amethyst is a very pretty, soft color. Very feminine.

I still love amethyst the most, but this is a close second. Red magma is a very warm shade of red. The color itself only came out last year.

Here's another look with all of the lined up. I like pictures with depth :)

Taking pictures have been hard lately! I feel like the sun has completely moved. I will write more about that later. I also got these pendants in the bigger size. They are HUGE! I don't even have bails that fit them. I think I may have to suck it up and wire-wrap them. I also made earrings out of these pendants. They are a work in progress at the moment. I am still debating whether it's too heavy for earrings. How heavy is too heavy to you?

~ You Write the Scripts, It Makes the Movies ~

I found this fun little website called Xtranormal that help you make movies. All you have to do is write the script. What he said. What she said.

They have a few different "worlds" for you to choose from. The free version has the basic background and actors. They also have premium features. I really like the Paws "world", but it's a premium feature so I didn't try it. It looks so adorable though!

If you want to get all fancy, you can add in expressions, body animations, camera angles, sounds, background ambient sounds or music. I just made a quick video as a demo. It took about 15-20 minutes. Now, just a little background about this "short film". My friend and I discussed the best way for a guy to approach a girl. He thinks it's ok to just say Hi and ask for her name. This is what I told him would probably happen if he did that.

Fun, isn't it? Depending on the response to that video, I may make another one about the right way of approaching a girl. Just a little tip though (about making videos, not picking up girls), sign up for an account of Facebook connect before you start making a video. When I tried to save the first time, it took me through the registration process. And afterwards, it didn't bring me back to the video I made! So, I had to do it again. Good thing, it didn't take long.

Make some videos and show me! I want to see what you can come up with! Ooo you can watch movies others made too. This one is totally awesome.

~ Halloween 2009 ~

Wow. I didn't get home till 5AM this morning. Haven't partied like this since...I don't even remember! Let me start with the preparation part of the evening. A bunch of us met up at my friend's awesome apartment to hang out and get ready. Putting makeup on a guy to make him look scary, but not girly is harder than we thought.

Then, it's picture time! I took my DSLR there and we just had some fun! Took over 200 pictures! Just going to post some here. I have to correct the color in most of them. They all had a yellow tint.

I love this picture. It's so funny! Too bad I didn't get his fangs in the picture.

I think this is a really good picture. Look at the glitter eyeliner. I think that's the NYX one that I wanted to buy before. Doesn't she look so elegant? And it's like her eyes are talking to me.

Yeah, don't I look innocent?

I told him to pretend to be like Naruto. Get ready to fly out the window and whip out his swords. He's awesome :)

All the girls......So we have from left to right....queen of hearts(?), medieval queen, Flo (from the Progressive commercials), sexy devil, Belle, playboy bunny, masked beauty, sexy gangsta and a queen bee.

I love my friend's bed....it's so sexy and comfortable. So, I ... naturally took some pictures there. Once again...don't I look innocent?

She looks like she stepped out of a time machine.

Look at the queen bee trying to be innocent too.

Then, we went to a house party and a hotel party and a club/lounge. Pictures from those events....not appropriate for this blog so let's skip to the midnight snack. A few of us went to a 24 hour Korean BBQ restaurant in Annadale, VA called Honey pig. We got there around 2:30 and there was a line! Yes, we ate with our costumes on.

Just a few pictures of the food. It's a good place. Maybe next time I go, I'll take some better pictures and do a real review. In short, this is like THE Korean BBQ restaurant to go to. It's always crowded!

I had a good time. Wish my fiance could've gone with us, but he was busy. I liked playing photographer. I may get all my sexy girlfriends to do another photoshoot sometime. I need to read the manual though. Lighting was not very good and a lot of the pictures came out blurry. Maybe another costume party for the holidays?

~ Halloween Preview ~

I know...enough about Halloween already! But, did you know that Halloween is one of the biggest holidays? What other holidays spawn hundreds of holiday merchandise stores in the malls and shopping centers? What other holidays can girls dress as ... sexually adventurous .... as their conscience or bfs allow and not be called names? What other holidays can guys dress as girls and be praised? What other holidays can you make yourself ugly and win contests?

This year is probably the only year that I have put this much thought and planning into Halloween. The past few years have been getting ready to pass out candy or trying to hide because I didn't have candy. This year has been a slew of emails with friends about outfits and schedules. I even tried on the costume again just now to make sure my shoes match and to find the right accessories.

I took this with my mac's photo booth. The camera was downstairs with my dad and I didn't feel like strutting down there in my .... sexually adventurous .... costume to get the camera. So here's just a sneak peak of what is to come tomorrow. We are going to do a photo shoot before we head out. Let's see if I can photograph people well.

This is the last time I am going to wear such a short dress. In public. :D Are you as excited about Halloween as I am?

~ Strolling Down Memory Lane ~

When I signed into Facebook today, I noticed that my cousin in Hong Kong tagged me in a bunch of pictures. I figured it was pictures from last year when I went there...till I clicked on the first one. Yeah, this is definitely not last year! I guess she was looking through old pictures with my mom and just snapped some pictures of the pictures and posted them on Facebook! Ahh...the memories...Though it's a little embarrassing, I enjoyed this public stroll down memory lane....

This is probably when I was a month old. My cousin Mandy (on the left) is about 3 weeks older than me. So, we have lots of pictures together. Yes, I looked like a boy.

This is from my grandparents' farm, on one of those Chinese holidays that we needed to burn incense and offer food to the gods and such. Hmm...I was just picking up the apple because I was told to right? I didn't look sneaky at all. That's Mandy with me again.

I have no idea where this was....

I really like my outfit here...I was all Chinese-looking....

I remember this ... I think. It was soon before we moved to Chicago. A lot of us went up to this new temple. It was a long walk. I was playing Gameboy. See? I was a gamer even when I was 10.

This is probably from one of the last beach trips. We went camping by the beach and I saw a horseshoe crab for the first time. It was amazing!!!

When I see these pictures of my family after I moved to Chicago, I am sad that I missed all these fun events. I am not saying it wasn't fun growing up in Chicago, but I really missed my cousins and everyone else in Hong Kong.

I am guessing these are pictures we sent back to my cousin from Chicago. I love my brother's glasses. So nerdy!

Probably the first Christmas in Chicago. I know she looks like my sister, but that's my mom :)

We had a lot of good bbqs. Once again, those glasses are hilarious! Thank goodness she didn't show any pictures of me with my glasses.

~ Nintendo DSi LL ~

I love the Nintendo DS. I love it so much that I got two...one for my fiance and one for me so we won't have to fight over it. I used to carry it around with me and play whenever I get a chance. But, that was before I opened my jewelry shop. Now, it's just being used as a prop for my accessories pictures.

I think Nintendo is really good with continuously improving their products. They improved the original DS by giving it a sleeker look and brighter screen. They improved the DS Lite by adding a camera and slightly bigger screen. Now, they have come out with DSi LL, which is basically just bigger, with a huge 4.2 in screen.

One may argue that a portable gaming system should be as small as possible. But, I think they did the right thing here. Nintendo DS has a very wide target audience, the casual gamer. Casual gamers like my mom whose hand cramps up from holding the little stylus for too long would love this new bigger DS with a fatter stylus. The new bigger stylus looks a lot sturdier and comfortable. She wouldn't mind that the whole console is bigger because she just puts it in her purse anyway.

Also, the big screen is a major plus. My mom won't have to put on her glasses and squint at the games anymore.

It comes in dark brown, burgundy and white. I think my mom will really like the burgundy one. It looks so much classier. It's coming out in mid November in Japan. I hope it comes to the US soon after. My mom needs a new DS. This is her second one and she has already ruined the screen by playing too much. She loves Magnetica. In the game, you have a marble in the middle that u need to fling outwards with the stylus. She has basically worn out that middle spot on the screen. And the hinges are loose.

If they come out with a yellow one, I am totally buying it. :)
