~ August Sneak Attack ~

I didn't sponsor a sneak attack last month because I was busy traveling. But this month I am back! First, let me say that if you don't know what a sneak attack is, please visit HandmadeMovment website. It's a good cause.

Ok now...the victims! I picked these two shops because I think they have great products! I hope you like them. First, we have TruePennie. She makes awesome bags from plarn. What is plarn? It's...plastic + yarn! It's yarn made from recycled plastic bags.

She also has beautiful flower accessories like hair clips and pins.

Then there's the pretty headbands...

Next we have KatieandEmma. What a beautiful card shop! The cards are so sweet and some are very trendy and modern. Just love them!

I hope this attack brings them motivation to continue making great products!

Yay! Sneakers Unite! Let's attack!!! Today, there will be 3 shops and the attack will commense at 7pm Etsy time. For more information, check out the Handmade Movement site. Check out the preparty at the forum thread!

Here are the shops and sales so far:
LilyPadCraftStudio.etsy.com (13 sales tonight)
This shop has a big variety of items! Some upcycled coolness like this gift card mini notebook. Love it.

These are so pretty. I wish I scrapbook :)

joyfulbead.etsy.com (9 sales tonight)
This shop has cute little polymer clay stud earrings. I love the sushi ones:

They have a Feng Shui line. Very colorful and meaningful. And they come in matching felt pouches. Kawaii!

elitespasaltz.etsy.com (4 sales tonight)
Another bath and body shop. This one has one sexy sounding scrub with a sexy picture to match.

This looks sexy too!

I think this has been an overall successful attack! Great job to all the fellow sneakers and to Glenna of VintageEmbellishment for helping out with shop selection today. *Applause*

~ Sneak Attack: Cute and Cuter ~

Ok, it's time for another sneak attack! I know I am supposed to show you pictures of my vacation, but.... things just got in the way and today there's something more important to blog about! It's sneak attack time!

This attack started off at 3pm today, just so our friends across the atlantic can easily participate. So, of course, I picked shops that ship everywhere. Today, I picked two (IMHO) very cute shops. I was very excited to have found them.

First there's cute little magnets and clips from HollieLollie. Very cute stuff! I think every little (and big) girl would like something from this shop. I got this little clipboard and also one in green.

Then, some toys from adolina. There's something that's irresistable about pocket gnomes...

And these are just adorable!

I hope you like these shops and support them either by making purchases or just spreading the word about the attack. Join us on the Etsy forum thread if you have a few minutes. HollieLollie actually stopped by the thread already and expressed her thanks. Always wonderful to hear from the victim :)

~ Sneak Attack: Kanzashi and More ~

Yay another sneak attack!  Handmademovement has grown since the last time I sponsored an sneak attack!  A few Sneak Attack Fanatics has come up with a new idea...

Quote from the website:
We're dedicating certain items in our shops to Sneak Attacks - the money from the sales of those items goes directly to purchasing from future Sneak Attack "victims". It runs on the honor system, but as one person said, "there's a lot of very honorable people here!" Each item has "Sneak Attack Support Item" in its title, and a brief explanation in the item description. It's also tagged with "SA Support". That makes it easy to find the special items - just search for SA Support under All Items.

There's a wide range of items offered, in a wide range of prices. Check it out! Not only can you buy a special item just for you; you can also have the satisfaction of knowing you're helping out new Etsy sellers.

Isn't that nice??  So, for today, all money from sales in my shop will go to SA Support.  I haven't tagged anything in my shop yet because I haven't had time.  But, I will!

Anyway, there was a little bit of drama this morning.  One of the shops I picked out went on vacation!!!  Thank goodness Julia found a similar shop for me.  From now on, she's my Etsy directory.

Shops are listed! We have 2 great shops with variety of items!  First up is SecretLolita.  She specializes in Kazashi hair accessories.  I love them!

Next we have YaneShops.  This shop has a combination of magnetic bookmarks and baby products like these:

I hope you like the shops I picked out.  Please support the sneak attack by spreading the word about it, keeping the forum thread alive and/or purchase from these fabulous shops!

~ Snack Bags and Cards ~

I know I am supposed to blog about all the exciting my dad brought back from Hong Kong, but.....I didn't get a chance to take pictures.  The fiance was sick so I showered him with a lot of TLC :)

So, today, let me tell you about some other exciting stuff....my recent Etsy purchases!!!

The Spoils of the Sneak Attack Shopping Cart War
There was a great sneak attack yesterday and I got myself a few things.  The attack was on a wonderful charity shop called EtsyForCharity.  A little bit about them:

Etsy for Charity (EFC) is a group of artists all fueled by the passion of helping the community with their crafts.  All items listed at EFC Shop are donated by Etsy sellers and they will be shipped direct from their country to you!  Sales proceeds (less shipping and other expenses) for this month will be donated to

EFC April Charity of the Month
Autism Speaks
http://www.autismspeaks.org

I can't wait for them to come before showing you.  I got 3 cards and a set of cool business cards donated by UniqueGrabs.  I love his cards!!!  So very cute!!!

These come in a bunch of colors!  If there was yellow, I would've gotten one for myself....

Cute...................I am sure this will come in handy this year :)

I hope my mom doesn't read my blog....

I love these!  I am going to give them out to special friends.  Please don't throw them away :)

I got these wonderful snack bags from a sneak attack victim (RosyandPosy) I sponsored a few weeks ago...  These bags replace disposable ziplock bags and are washable and just so cute!

This one is holding my fiance's newphew's snacks right now.  Perfect for the little boy.

This one is for me!  The owls are cool!

Trades...
Trading is a lot of fun!  I traded these with RoseBushDesigns a little while ago....

This is what she got from me....

After I got the bags from RosyandPosy, Julia of customcute, found these bags from  FlowerFly and I just can't live without them.  They are so cute and yellow!!!

This one is perfect for Momo's treats!

I don't know what this one is for yet, but it's yellow!

I just looked at FlowerFly again and she got all these new bags!! So cute!!!  I love this kitty one:

This is what she got from me plus some cash :)

Etsy is so full of awesome things!  Can't wait to get more!

~ Another Sneak Attack ~

Bold
I am sponsoring another sneak attack.  I had so much fun last time that I volunteered again.  This time I picked out 3 shops, one from UK, US and Canada.  They all have very, very cute stuff and are blissfully unaware of the attack.

What is a Sneak Attack?
Three days per week, an Etsy shop with few or no sales is chosen as a "victim,” and at a given time multiple buyers all visit the site and buy one or more items each, resulting in a whole slew of surprise business in a very short time. It’s a great way to give a big boost to a new Etsy shop!

Here are the shops for tonight!!

RosyUndPosy: A collaboration of unique designs by a mother and daughter duo located on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia.

Reusable snack bag. I am going to get one.

happynotes: Feel the warmth with my colorful original designs. All my designs are illustrated, printed, cut and scored by me.

pippibean: "Kawaii" means cute in Japanese. This is the style I base most of my items on! Hope you love them!

~Sneak Attack~

Three days per week, an Etsy shop with few or no sales is chosen as a "victim,” and at a given time multiple buyers all visit the site and buy one or more items each, resulting in a whole slew of surprise business in a very short time. It’s a great way to give a big boost to a new Etsy shop!

You can participate by shopping at the victim's shop or participate in the forum discussion. When you make a purchase, make sure to include the words "Sneak Attack" in the "message to seller". The shop owners will also be informed of what is happening so they know just what is going on. Don’t worry about being too late for the attack! If the shop names are still up there, you can still go and make a purchase!

I am honored to sponsor today's sneak attack. I have chosen HappyElephantDesigns. This shop has cute handmade cards at great prices ($2 - $5). It's just a coincidence that we both have "Happy" in our names :)

According to her profile:
Happy Elephant Designs is my passion. I started this company so that people who don’t have the time or patience to make homemade cards can still get the benefit of seeing the smiles that a homemade card can bring to a person’s face. Each card is unique in its own way because it is painstakingly handcrafted.

Here are some of her wonderful creations!

Ready? Let's attack!!
