~ Forever21 Dresses Haul #2 ~

Just got my 2nd order of the summer from Forever 21. I am slightly disappointed, because 2 of the dresses I got are shorter than I imagined. I only got 4 dresses because I figured that if I need to return stuff, I can use the store credit to buy again and I only needed 4 dresses to get free shipping.

Daydream Floral Maxi Dress
This is the one I am going to keep for sure. Very soft, very flowy, very light, very comfy. You know how I love yellow. And yes, I am going to wear this to work. Sneak a peek at Momo :)

Marigold Chiffon Floral Dress
This one, I love! But, it's a little bit short. If I still go clubbing, I would keep it. But, those days are behind me. I have nowhere to wear this to and I doubt my fiance will let me out the door wearing that :) I do have another dress with these flowers on it that I love. It is also a little bit tight. I can barely zip it up. LOVE it but gotta return it. I will try on a medium if they have it at the store and if it's a lil bit longer, I....may exchange it :)

Lustrous Ruffle Halter Dress
I know I shouldn't have gotten this one 'cause that's not the kind of neckline that I can support. But, the color looked so nice and it looks like such a fun dress! It is a very fun dress, though sadly, it's loose! What is up with that?? This type of halter needs to be tight! Back to the store this goes.

Gina Gathered Dress
This is not a dress! It is so short! I am wearing shorts underneath it. It's not as soft as I imagined too. I do like it, but I really need to wear shorts or leggings underneath that. I haven't decided if I am going to return this yet. It's only like $16. Decisions, decisions.

I hope I get a chance to return them tomorrow so I can start my next order. All the dresses I ordered are size small, in case you are curious and I usually wear a size 4. And please excuse the boxes in the pictures, I don't have anywhere else to take the pictures or to put the boxes.

Very excited about tomorrow. Going to be heading to Toronto!

~ Tips for Typing Maniac on Facebook ~

While Bejeweled was down due to a server room fire, I was stuck working and making jewelry for my shop without game breaks. Just when I thought I was going insane, I saw someone playing Typing Maniac on facebook through the newsfeed. The graphics look cute, so I thought I will check it out. Now it has taken over my newsfeed by storm. A lot of my friends are playing and I love competition!

I love typing games! This is fun. Basically, words on sheets of paper falls down at various rates and you need to type the words to get rid of the paper. If you don't, they'll pile up on the floor and you die of suffocation and paper cuts. That's a pretty basic typing game. I mean, Popcap's Typer Shark is similar concept, except your death is more gruesome.

What I like about this game is that you also need to think about how to apply the special papers: fire, wind, ice and slow. You need to have strategies instead of just typing fast! So, as the champion amongst my friends, I thought I would share my strategies. And yes, I am bragging :)

1. Don't make mistakes
Duh! But, your points are based on your accuracy. If you get 100%, your points basically double. So, in the early levels, you can take your time to get 100% accurate so you can stock up points.

2. Type the words you know first
It's much faster to type if you know what you are typing and don't have to read the word and then think about it and then type it.

3. Type the easy words first
I don't mean short or easy as in defintion. I mean words that you can type without moving your fingers a lot or words that you can type with one hand. For example, it's harder for me to move my fingers down, so words with z, x, c, v, n, m are harder for me and I make more mistakes with them. On the other hand, words like wear, where and was are much easier because my fingers don't have to move much.

4. Start off slow
In later levels, if you have a slow, start the level by typing slow. You will probably get one later anyway. May as well use it now, before you can see the first word, so you can use that time to type slow. And this will make you feel calmer too. Before the slow wears off, you are likely to get another one, or maybe another ice. You can keep chaining them to make the fast level seem easy. You can use multiple slows that will really slow things down for you too.

5. Burn the useless stuff
In later levels, whenever you see a lot of paper falling, but no special ones in the mix, and you have a few specials stored, use fire. Helps you clear the screen and calm down a little bit. You will likely get another special back soon.

6. Try to get the specials even if you store limit has been reached.
You are only allow to store 6 specials. If you see another one falling and you have that special stored, use the one you have stored and then get the new one. This works specially well for slow and ice. For fire, you can get the new one first, and then type in "fire". Whenever you get a special, it takes time for it to become a paper airplane and fly to your store. So, while all that animation is going on, you can use up a special and free up a slot for the new one.

7. Wind is your new best friend.
Wind basically blows away that pile that's about to kill you to give you a second chance. Be sure to try to keep some around for the later levels. They are pretty useless early on though.

Ok, I think that's all I have for you. Good luck! I hope you become a robot soon, or maybe an uber alien like these world champions. How they heck do they live through 40+ levels?

~ Weekly Special: Twinkle Twinkle Earrings ~

These are the earrings that inspired my wedding colors. I am currently 90% sure on the colors being blue and yellow. When I told my fiance, he didn't look so happy. And neither did the best man. Guys just don't understand colors hehe.

Anyways, so I thought I would put these earrings on sale for the weekly special. Almost 1/3 off!

I just love how the yellow contrasts with the blue and I love these stars.

They are on the long side, and will be perfect for a summer dinner date, maybe some dancing afterwards.

Look at these cool earwires! I haven't seen anything like them from my US suppliers. I got them in Hong Kong. Love them.

There's only 1 pair at this price. After it's gone, it's back to the regular price so get it now!

~ Dresses Galore from Forever21 ~

I recently placed an order from Forever21 that took me a long time to decide on. There are so many fabulous dresses that I want, but I know I can't buy all of them. Some of them are way too formal and I just don't have any occasions to wear them to. Plus, I already got a lot of formal dresses when I was in Hong Kong.

My order hasn't arrived yet, hopefully it will arrive next week before I leave for Toronto. In the mean time, let me show you the ones that I want, but didn't get. Maybe you will get one and show me pictures of you wearing it so I can live vicariously through you :)

First, the black dresses. I love black dresses. So easy to accessories, and love the slimming effect. I absolutely love this dress. I love the layers and it just looks like it flows really well. It takes absolute self control to not get this dress. Even though it's tube top, I still want it a lot. I would even sew straps to it. But, where am I going to wear this to?
Chiffon Layered Dress

This one is so classic and feminine. Love the flowers on the bottom. Though, I will never buy it 'cause tube tops just slide off me. Every once in a while I get tempted to buy a tube top dress and then I never wear it.
Spiral Floral Trim Dress

This looks so....kinky. Sorry, it just reminds me of french maids. I like it though.
Glam Tuxedo Dress

This is very plain, but I love the bubble layers.
Pleated Bubble Shine Dress

This one, I may end up getting later. It was in my cart, but was voted out because I limited myself to 4 dresses only and I have a similar color dress. I love the pattern though.
Dandelion Burst Knit Dress

Ok, now some bright colors. This one is awesome. Bubble layers and straps! That top part is going to be tight, but it's going to hide tummy very well.
Shimmer Dual Bubble Dress

These two are the bright versions of 2 of the black ones I picked. Usually, I don't like really loud colors like that, but these are fabulous.

~ Momo vs Kobe ~

Happy Independence Day!!!

My friends are on vacation and wanted us to walk their dog. I was too lazy to keep going there so I brought him over. His name is Kobe and he's a 5 year old Maltese.

I don't know if it's because he's has not been "fixed", but he loves to hump Momo. They just try to .... get on each other all day! Momo's face is all wet with saliva...from both of them I think!

Here's a video I caught using my new phone. It was stream live to qik.com. It's a pretty cool site for streaming videos from your phone. Love it.

~ My Wedding: Color Scheme Dilemma ~

I am obsessed with yellow. So, for sure, one of my wedding colors is going to be yellow. So, I started looking on google and found a few pictures.

From Brides.net... Pretty pretty!! Love the bouqet.

From brendasweddingblog...love the yellow sash on the dress.

Everything is lovely! But I wonder if it's too yellow? I made a pair of yellow and blue earrings before and I like how it turns out so I am thinking of adding blue.

Here's a collage I found on primadonnabride.co.za. It's a little too blue though. But I like it a lot. Very fresh!

I also may do lavendar or some kind of purple because it's kinda my second favorite color. I didn't find any wedding collages, but found some color palettes on polyvore.com.
I am leaning towards the blue and yellow at the moment. What do you think?

~ My Treasury: A Mermaid's Treasures ~

I love mermaids. They are so beautiful, graceful and of course, so sparkly. If you are a mermaid, and you just hang out in the ocean all day, what would you put in your treasure chest?
